Our 2 Days Nyungwe Chimpanzee Tracking Rwanda Safari will take you to the west of Rwanda where you will explore the rainforests of Nyungwe National Park. Nyungwe is one of the oldest rainforests in Africa spanning over 1,019 km squared of tropical forest, home to 13 different primate species including chimpanzees, L Hoest monkey, and Ruwenzori colobus.
Drive to the southwestern part of the country to Nyungwe National Park, about a 3-4 hours drive. Stop at the Rwanda Ethnographic Museum in Butare. Check in to your lodge, have lunch and some leisure time.
Transfer to park headquarters for briefing at 5:00 am. Proceed into the forest for chimpanzee tracking. After tracking, have lunch and start the journey back to Kigali.
